Writing and Editing Rates
Something as individual as the development of a unique written voice needs to have flexibility in pricing. It's not a cheap process, but the impact on your business can be enormous.
To help you budget, here's a guide to the cost of the core writing services:
Creating and applying a new voice to existing text:
£40 - £75 per 100 words*
Developing new voice and content:
£60 - £95 per 100 words*
* Please add VAT at 17.5%
Note: Larger projects attract lower rates: the greater the scope of the writing help you need, the greater the benefit I can pass on to you.
Editing Price Guidelines
The cost of correcting writing depends very much on the quality of what you have: I will quote on the amount of work you need rather than impose a flat fee. To help you budget, here's a guide to the cost of the main editing services:
Basic correction of text (spelling, punctuation, grammar)
£7 - £12 per 1000 words*
Advanced correction of text (as above + clarity and readability improvements)
£20 - £50 per 1000 words*
* Please add VAT at 17.5%
Compilation of newsletters, support for bookwriting and other larger projects
These jobs really are bespoke, so I will provide a quote once we've had a conversation about what you want to do and how best to put your budget to use. There are always options for keeping costs down.
